The TRIO staff of the Educational Talent Search and Educational Opportunity Centers are off to a fast start of visiting students in the northeast Arkansas and Missouri bootheel areas!
Talent Search advisors, Cathy Lee, Erin Hill, Kristen Shelton, and Susan Dryer have visited all of their schools and made contact with 6th through 12th graders in 13 school districts! Talent Search says hello to:
Armorel, Blytheville, Gosnell, Manila, EPC, Osceola, Rivercrest, Caruthersville, Cooter, Delta C-7, Hayti, and North and South Pemiscot students!
The advisors have so much planned for the 2008-2009 school year! Fun, activities, field trips, special "road trips" to college campuses and other cultural sites, like Parker Homestead, where butter is churned and kettle corn is cooked on an outside, open fire. Educational Opportunity Center advisors, Tonya Harris, Denese Bogard, and Nancy Fergus are busy assisting adults who are interested in enrolling in post-secondary training! The advisors are working with employees of Milwaukee Tool in Blytheville currently and are available now...just call an advisor!
The advisors travel to meet potential students in Mississippi, Greene, and Poinsett counties in Arkansas and Dunklin and Pemiscot counties in Missouri. They assist with financial aid applications and admissions to any school anywhere, at any level! If you want to enroll in short-term training, they can help!
